Anneliese Schultz, MFA ’77, won the 2013 Enizagam Literary Award in Fiction. Her story, “Child”, was selected by final judge Sarah Shun-lien Bynum, a recent New Yorker ‘20 under 30’, and has been nominated for a Pushcart Prize. In 2012, Anneliese’s stories were also finalists in the Surrey International Writers’ Conference Storyteller’s Award and Wild Leaf Press Short Story competitions. The first title in her young adult series set in a climate-changed BC reached the Second Round in the 2012 Amazon Breakthrough Novel Award competition, and she is now at work on the sequel.
