Silvana, Belinda Mellor

Mary Woodbury

October 17, 2016

Part I. The Greening

The Greening is the first part of Silvana–a series of mythopoeic fantasy novels set in a land where humanity respects and relies on nature for all that is good, and that is contrasted in the neighbouring land, where greed has driven the population to cause widespread natural destruction.

Sixteen year old Fabiom dreams of winning the love of a Silvana, one of the mysterious and powerful tree spirits who haunt the deepest groves of the wildwood. But when he is not only thrown into the political arena but also expected to keep the family silk business running, everything changes. Fabiom fears he will have to put aside his dream, for such a quest is perilous and Deepvale cannot afford to lose its young lord.
