There are many climates on this third rock from our sun: that obvious 40-mile paper-thin fragile ecosphere within which we all live; the climate of human interaction with all other living things and themselves; and the climate of possibility, the organized and random nature of all living things. Robert Sassor’s piece is a lovely accessible swath cut thru the climates, a beautiful portrayal of the faces of life, and death. It’s like a writing that feels more fit for a comfy British reader telling the story out loud than even for just the eyes. And from me that’s the highest compliment.
Robert, this story is truly beautiful. You are one very talented writer. I love that you used 2nd person point of view so effectively. It is evocative, subtle and powerful. Well done. Worthy winner 🙂 Regards from Australia!
Great story. So moving, on so many levels, it would melt an ice-heart. Your words are teardrops for life and nature, and an inspiration to read.
