On September 27 this year, we’ll be participating in Vancouver, British Columbia’s 100,000 Poets for Change. We kicked off this virtual event in June, with a short story contest about climate change, which is ongoing! (Please do read the rules, and they must be followed if you want to have a chance at winning.)
Separate to the contest, we’ve also decided to accept poems, nature photographs, and so on, with environmental themes, to appear in an online media presentation on September 27. By sending us your work, you agree that we may use it and that the work is yours! Please email your art or poetry to Mary Woodbury no later than September 15, 2014. Only selected works will be included in the presentation. This multimedia celebration will be hosted at Cli-Fi Books and will include the winning short story as well. Please include your full name so that if we use your work, we can properly credit you as its creator.
This event is in collaboration with Michael Rothenberg’s 100,000 Poets for Change event, now in its 4th year. This is our third year participating in the event. From the site:
Do you want to join other poets, musicians, and artists around the world in a demonstration/celebration to promote peace and sustainability and to call for serious social, environmental and political change?
